Gelen ekip b\u00f6lgede kaz\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131 y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fcyor. Yakla\u015f\u0131k iki haftad\u0131r devam eden kaz\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131nda antik kentin kilise k\u0131sm\u0131nda Bizans d\u00f6nemine ait 3 insan iskeleti bulundu. Ondokuz May\u0131s \u00dcniversitesi Fen Edebiyat Fak\u00fcltesi Arkeoloji B\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc \u00d6\u011fretim \u00dcyesi Do\u00e7. Dr. Ak\u0131n Tem\u00fcr, kilisenin g\u00fcney apsis b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcnde 3 adet iskelet bulundu\u011funu belirterek, “Bu iskeletler y\u0131llar sonra \u00fczerine yap\u0131lan yap\u0131lar nedeni ile tahrip olmu\u015f. Bir \u00e7ocuk, kad\u0131n ve erke\u011fe ait oldu\u011funu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcyoruz. \u00d6nceki y\u0131llarda \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131lm\u0131\u015f birka\u00e7 sand\u0131k mezar\u0131m\u0131z var. Bu iskeletler Bizans d\u00f6neminin. Ama yap\u0131dan daha sonraki d\u00f6nemdeki g\u00f6m\u00fc oldu\u011funu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcyoruz.
